Empowering Your Journey
At MD Weight Loss and Beyond, we are dedicated to supporting our patients in cultivating and sustaining a healthy lifestyle. Through comprehensive nutrition education, phone apps, exercise programs, and more, we provide the tools and guidance necessary for long-term success in achieving optimal wellness.
1. WE UNDERSTAND
Through assessments conducted by our Board-Certified MD, Registered Nurse and Certified Health Coach, we assess all aspects of an individual, helping them to fully understand their weight and factors contributing to it, with the ultimate goal of achieving a life-style change that leads to long-term wellness. The first step is a Health History review at the initial consultation.
We use an IN-Body scale, which measures full-body composition (Total Body Water, Percentage Body Fat, Lean Body Mass, Skeletal Muscle, BMI, Basal Metabolic Rate, etc.) We recommend weighing in on the In-Body scale once per week minimum in order to track progress & provide accountability.
We develop an individual meal and exercise plan based on many factors such as: level of activity, basal metabolic rate, work schedules, food preferences, etc. Each plan is individualized, but the fundamentals of our food plans include lean protein, healthy fats, & complex carbohydrates. We also teach the importance of water intake, as that is a key factor in the weight-loss process.
2. MANAGE
After a thorough assessment we will work together to develop an individualized plan around nutrition and exercise.
Exercise
Similar to our food plans, exercise regimens are individualized for each patient at MD Weight Loss. Exercise is important for weight loss and maintaining weight loss, and can increase metabolism at any age. We believe in a combination of cardio and strength, and encourage small goals weekly which are likely to result in big results over the long-term.
For many patients, we encourage them to increase activity throughout the work day. We have a number of patients who utilize the "5K Runner app" and build up endurance to run 3 miles, or simply increase their heart rate with a fast-paced walk. We encourage community activities such as a weekly group exercise class at Platoon in Bryn Mawr (all levels encouraged). We cycle at Flywheel 1-2X per week, and they offer a discounted rate to our patients. Additionally, we refer many home trainers for patient convenience!
Meal Deliveries
As an additional offering to our clients, we provide a local Meal Delivery Service called MyChef Catering. Chef Karen Golland prepares delicious and nutritious meals- both bulk items and individual. She also bakes a variety of protein snacks such as peanut butter truffles, protein muffins, and protein chocolate keto brownies. Some of our favorite bulk meals include cheese-steak stuffed peppers and chicken enchiladas. Specific calories and macro-nutrients are included on all items. This food contains zero preservatives, and is cooked fresh every Saturday. The meals are delivered to our office in Bryn Mawr on Mondays- available for pick-up after 10AM, free of charge. You can also get meals delivered to your home on Sunday mornings for a $10 delivery fee. Let us know if you'd like to be added to our weekly email with the menu (menu changes bi-monthly). Feel free to email, call, or text MD weight loss with your order!

3. MAINTAIN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS
At MD Weight Loss & Beyond, we support our patients in developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through nutrition education, phone apps, exercise programs, mindfulness techniques, proper sleep techniques, adequate water intake, & more.
We believe it is important to establish both a high and a low number when reaching a desired weight or percentage body-fat. We recommend at least two months in maintenance on our program, to ensure patients stay at their desired goal.
Open-door policy at MD Weight loss! We encourage past patients to stop in our office at any point to track progress! We also provide seasonal updates with new & exciting events happening.
